Research about eloquence of waqf verses

Abstract

With due attention to eloquence and on the basis of specific rhetorical methods and features, Quran is very amazing and its aesthetic and literary aspects are notable. Verses about benefaction, donation, interest- free loan, cooperation, charity and Waqf (endowment) are samples of divine commands eloquence and study of different eloquence aspects of these verses leads to better and more accurate understanding. Due to eloquence aspects and using eloquence methods, the meaning of Waqf will reveal in readers mind. The aim of this paper is analysis of rhetorical and eloquence aspects of Waqf by verses explanation and the results are shown in related tables and diagrams. In this research, it has been proved that Waqf is emphasized in Quran as a legal action and has rhetorical and eloquence attractions in the field of producing an effect and understanding.

Study of book endowment in Islam and Iran and its effect on conservation of hand written manuscripts and promoting book donation culture

Abstract

One of the reasons for the Islamic cultural and civilization prosperity is manifestation of benefaction and beneficence, altruism and benevolence in form of praiseworthy efforts such as Waqf and charity and public utility affairs. From the beginning of Islam, book donation has been counted among charities and praiseworthy efforts and has led to heavenly reward, reputation and reminding remembrance of benefactor. Perhaps book donation has been more popular devotion among Muslims. The deeds of endowment about historical books are used in study of historical aspects. In addition, during the time book donation has a worthy contribution in making libraries and many of Islamic hand written manuscripts available in the world libraries are provided using this pious action. In this research, the history of Waqf in the Islam, Islamic scholars opinions about books and manuscripts donation, book donation motivations, kinds and samples of book donation to libraries and the role of Waqf in promoting hand writing manuscripts and book donation are studied.

History and efficiency of Waqf in Islam and Islamic civilization

Abstract

Human desire for immorality and beneficence is innate and every one has tried for them. Waqf is rooted in ancient civilizations and is an immortal keepsake which can grant human wishes, immorality and beneficence. After Islam, Waqf was improved and using Islamic worldview and religious instructions, it continued in religious, cultural, social and economic fields. Nowadays, Waqf is known as useful tool in all cultures and more or less, endowed properties are used around the world. In this research, history and efficiency of Waqf in Islam and Islamic civilization are studied, cultural Waqf features are described and producing the desired effect of benefactors intentions in development of Islamic societies and their cultures are considered.

Study and description of full text of endowment deeds of Imam Ali (peace be upon him)

Abstract

In this paper, the last and the most complete endowment deeds of Imam Ali (A.S) is studied which is known as Imam Alis will and part of it is explained in Nahj al-Balagha, letter 24. In addition to study and description of full text of endowment deed, other items such as writing name of benefactor, the aims and incentives of Waqf, determination of endowments and custodians and lay down certain condition to them, endowments application determination, transparency in Waqf contents, calling credible witnesses, providing endowment deed in writing and mention date of Waqf have been studied which are distinctive and unique characteristics of endowment deeds of Imam Ali (peace be upon him). It helps to readers to become familiar with Imam Alis endowment deed. Also it describes main policies in Waqf system and tries to provide basic system to benefactors and Waqf custodians.

Endowment deeds of Agha Mahdi Malek al-tojjar

Abstract

Among endowment deeds available in archive of Malek library and national museum institute, there is one for five stores and a stand located in Tehran Bazar and which belong to Aqa Mahdi Malek al- tojjar, grandfather of Haj Hossein Aqa Malek, founder and benefactor of Malek library and national museum institute. This shows partly the history of Waqf tradition and its duration in Malek family. In this paper, biography of Mahdi Malek al-tojjar and text of his endowment deed is provided.

Ghanatghestan fire temple deed of endowment in Sangh-e gonbad-e Jabalieh museum

Abstract

Waqf has a long application in Iranian culture, history and customs and according to ancient manuscripts and long history of Waqf in Iran, Iranian society is familiar to its beneficial effects. In this research, Waqf and its history in ancient Iran is described and Ghanatghestan fire temple endowment deed is introduced. This endowment deed is drawn out in Qajar era and now, it is maintained in Kerman Sangh-e gonbad-e Jabalieh museum. The benefactor is Darvish khan ibn-e Jam chi Hatria. He has devoted a place to Zoroastrians to do some religious ceremonies such as making a fire and Gohanbar ceremony.

Roll of endowments in urban space forming (case research in Ebrahim shrine located in Amol)

Abstract

Waqf institute and civil endowments have effective role in urban space forming. Amol is a historical city and has many religious collection such as shrines in which this role is evident. The endowed collections have different functions. One of the most important functions is their effects on forming and stability of spaces in Amol city. In this paper, Amol shrines are introduced and then, the position of Ebrahime shrine and the relation between it and endowed collections are studied. The results show that forming and stability of physical space of historical cities are under the influences of effective factors such as religious leader shrines.

Emad al-Molk-e Namadi endowment for people cooperation in providing urban services

Abstract

Mohammad Bagherkhan Emad al- Molk had drawn up a deed of endowment in 14th Ramadan in 1300 AH which includes 132 plots of land, garden, building, store, Bazar, house, caravanserai, village, borough, spring, mill, castle and citadel. In Islamic society, cultural matters are important, so review of Emad al- Molk deed of endowment shows that Waqf incomes have spent for religious, Islamic and national ceremonies, promotion of religion and development of Islamic elements. In this deed of endowment, the terms of custodianship are defined and the properties are endowed. The benefactor has determined sixty eight Waqf income applications, then all of applications are explained and classified.

Waqf is an admirable tradition which in human life history is found in different features, so Islam has used it in logical and purposeful manner. Religious and political leaders have used this tradition and have developed endowed buildings. One of these leaders in Safavid era was Sheikh Ali Khan Zangheneh, the minister of Shah Soleiman Safavid and Beglerbeigi in Hamedan. Sheikh Ali Khan has different endowments in Hamedan. The main goal of this paper is study of his endowment properties in Toyserkan such as religion science school, mosque and Bazar. Iran holly footholds attributed to Imam Reza (A.S)

Abstract

Holly foothold or place of footstep is among the pilgrimage and holly places. There are many holly footholds in Iran which some of them are attributed to Imam Reza (A.S). In this paper, in addition to explain of geographical and historical position of holly footholds attributed to Imam Reza (A.S) in Iran and state of their distribution in different parts of country, their veracity and untruth will be study. Table of holly footholds attributed to Imam Reza (A.S) for each state, program of route from Madineh to Merv and is provided in appendixes.

Introducing Emamzadeh Mohammad, known as Soltan-e Sabz push

Abstract

Emamzadeh Mohammad which is known as Soltae Sabz push is religious building located between three villages, Chaleshtor, Eshkaftak and Mahdiyeh, in the west of Shahr-e-kord, Chahar Mahall va Bakhtiari. According to narrations, this shrine is related to Imam Sajjad (peace be upon him) by eleven agents (according to a narration, it is related by eight agents). In this region, the people have devotion toward this shrine and have made this place to pilgrimage and recreational place. Because of their believes to his generosities, they pray for their needs due to this shrine and perform their vows in this holly place. According to narrations, its building rebuilt twice, in Safavid era and in recent years.

Waqf in protection of developmental heritage and sustainable progress

With passage of decades of making comments and trying to protect the architectural heritage, many of urban researchers and architects are encountered new difficulty. It is protection of this heritage elements and their ability in the furtherance of new programs. So, it has leaded to reconsidering and renewing of architectural heritage protection and its progress. In Arabic and Islamic countries, Waqf is one of the revision methods in protection policy of architectural and urban heritage which is provided by society. Also, using perpetuation and multi- role characteristics, Waqf forms sustainable progress. Some times, the endowed properties are necessary capital to protect of architectural heritage so that many of endowed properties are related to situations which are provided to protection and serviceability in society. Furthermore, in Islamic cities and civilization, Waqf leads to urban development. It is noted from the earlier literatures review that Waqf and cultural researches have demonstrated this theory. The object of this study is revealing the relation between Waqf and architectural and developmental heritage and their values. For that, suggestions about some of revival methods in Waqf as means for protection of architectural and developmental heritage in form of legal, reformatory and new economic patterns are provided. In this paper, according to present samples and situation in Algeria, the practical methods in using Waqf in developed and modern designs, hidden and possible role of Waqf in protection of national monuments and increasing public services, protection of useless and applied environments, property prevention protections and every things which are conform to sustainable development are studied.

Introducing the twelve-volume collection of Isfahan endowments documents

Abstract

In olden days, having power and more and developed arms were factors of hegemony. But now, information is important and more information leads to more hegemony. Information includes knowledge which are provided and transferred using documents or media. So, in each competition and challenge, historical, industrial, scientific, religious, political and social documents are important in individual, system, groups success. Endowment documents are very important, because using them culture, science and other civilization development will prove. By Endowment documents, thousands endowed properties as movable and immovable will prove. They are national reputation and can prove many variables in the field of Waqf. Endowment documents are more important than endowed properties. Certainly, t value of these documents such as deeds of endowment, endowed journals, and endowed registration books is more than endowed properties because endowed properties will prove using documents and researchers and executive directors will realize different dimensions of endowed properties. In this paper, the twelve-volume collection of Isfahan endowments documents is introduced under protection of Hojjatol Islam Sayyed Sadegh Hosseini Ashkori and is provided under supervision of Isfahan plous foundation and is reviewed by Islamic reserve assembly.
