The implication of cash Waqf in the microcredit as a new Islamic financial instrument

Abstract

In two recent decades, microcredit system has been one of the considered strategies in acceleration of investment process, revaluation of financial centers, saving, resource allocation to rural area and poverty reduction using productivity of capital on the based on microcredit. Having microloans of trade banks needs giving as security which poor and low- income peoples can’t afford it. So, it leads people to informal financial relations and borrowing on interest. Therefore, providing Islamic foundations and new methods of paying microcredits and financing can meet poor needs in the religious field. It can provide opportunity to employment, trading and poverty reduction. The aim of this research is study of cash Waqf as a new Islamic micro financial instrument. For that, countries experience are provided, specially successful institutions in the field of providing micro financial. Then potential behavior simulation of cash Waqf in micro financial and its results are studied. This research is analytical- descriptive study and to obtain information, library studies (the study of documents inside and outside) are used. The results are on the based on theoretical analysis and show that in Islamic financing, cash Waqf provides financing without usury and it is cause of economic development, so it will meet social- economical problems in society.

Recognition of Waqf damages

Abstract

In this paper, some of Waqf damages which have lead to downward trend in Waqf and decreasing people tendency to it are studied. Also, the reason of people disillusionment for Waqf and endowed properties is considered. The author has tried to study internal and external aspects (such as direct relationship to endowment custodian and natural or ideological factors, respectively) and recognition of damages of Waqf. Waqf damages are studied in seven sections: taking possession of endowments, people economic and ideological problems, having no correct informing, natural factors (flood, fire accident, war and plunder, earthquake), having similar and homonymous foundations (such as relief foundation, welfare organization, charity foundation), the reluctance of governments and ideological failure affairs, cumbersome rules and lacking information about that. Also in this paper, provided strategies for these damages are introduced in two parts: Waqf rules explanations and correct informing and introducing Waqf in culture and media.

The history of endowed Sahib- al amr religious school in Ashtian

Abstract

Over the past one and half century, Sahib- al amr (PBUH) religious school in Ashtian has been one of the most important scientific bases in Ashtian in which many of scientists and distinguished scholars have been trained. This religious school and other endowed properties have been endowed by Mirza Hassan Alborz. Drinking fountain ,Yakhchal and related endowments in khansar

Abstract

Before the invention of refrigerator, some mud- brick domes in special architecture were made for storing ice. These buildings were called Yakhchal. Most of the time, drinking fountains were made near them and for them, the ice was provided by Yakhchals, freely. Some of drinking fountains and Yakhchals were endowed by benefactors, so buildings durability have been increased. In this paper, the endowed Yakhchal and drinking fountain in Khansar is studied. This building was used to 1350s but now, it has been destroyed. Key words: Yakhchal, drinking fountain, polghosh.

Niloufar Safavid bathroom (Asadabad)

Abstract

From olden times, Iranian have been considered neatness because bathing has been important in body cleanliness and mental purity. So, in many of cities and villages in Iran, different bathrooms has been made which have been important in urban architecture. After mosque and school, they were one of the important building in urban structures. Niloufar Safavid bathroom is one of the charitable buildings in Asadabad which has been built near mosque and drinking fountain. Providing these three buildings near each other shows the importance of neatness in worship. The main hypothesis in this research is historical and architecture study of Niloufar bathromm in Asadabad which helps to researchers to revive the value of charitable endowed properties. The main goal of this paper is to study of this valuable building in historical and architecture respects. Key words: Safavid, Asadabad, bathroom.

Sanglaj area deed of endowment in Tehran

Abstract

According to this deed of endowment, Agha Shir Mohammad Baik Qazvini has been transferred his properties(the whole of real estate of his private quarters, four parts of his joint properties, whole of stable, barnyard (Baharband), two grass selling and grocery shops, and his private and inherited properties) to Sheikh Mohammad Hassan Behbahani. then he endowed them to religious priest. In this deed of endowment, original property has been defended and Agha Mirza Zainolabedin Imam Jome’eh, appointed as custodian. After him, custodian will transfer to his more learned sons, from generation to generation. States mission and the role of benefactors and pious people in providing for social needs

Abstract

One of the most important question in urban and rural community is that what is the role of governments in providing for cultural, social and economic needs? And how much do these needs are provided by people and how? Also, what are ups and downs of nations activities and how does define the role of people? To answer to this question and to explain of the role of benefactors and pious people, the author describes the role of nations briefly and studies their efficiency. Then he shows that what are the role of benefactors at past and present? Is it necessary to support these parts? Is these supports are as cost or investment? For that, the author has explained the role of nations, then he has explained different dimension of deed of endowment.

Emamzadeh Jaafar(Peace be upon him) holly shrine in Pishva and its endowments

Abstract

There are several religious and pilgrimage places in Pishva, Tehran, which among them Emamzade Jaafar ibn Mousa el Kazem (PBUH) is known. The courtyard of Emamzade Jaafar (PBUH) whom is one of the Imam Kazem (PBUH) is located in Pishva and everyday, visits as a pilgrim by the people whom devoted to Ismat and Taharat family. This shrine has laid the foundation of Pishva city and has been effective in the fields of architecture and economic. In this paper, His holly shrine and its endowments are introduced, then the oldest deed of endowment for mentioned Emamzadeh is studied.

Introducing the second volume of Waqf and Islamic civilization papers collection

Abstract

Waqf and Islamic civilization conference were held in Isfahan by plous foundation and Islamic development bank on 12-13 November, 2008. Many of interested scientists have studied different dimensions of Waqf and their social services. Also, according to society needs they have studied the methods of exemplary tradition revival and have attempted to support the role of Waqf in cultural, social and economic fields. Selected papers have been prepared and published in three volumes. In the present text, the second volume is introduced in which twenty papers are studied in two chapters: Waqf and Islamic civilization; economic- financial dimension and Waqf and Islamic civilization; management dimension.
